Located on Massachusetts Avenue, 1001 Plays was a popular Cambridge arcade that became a foundational spot for a generation of local video game enthusiasts. It was known for being a place to experience the latest in arcade game technology. The venue was eventually renamed America’s Game before permanently closing its doors. Today, the location at 1007 Massachusetts Ave. has been redeveloped into residential apartments.

I patronized this place extensively in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They received many pre-production test games.
