As a popular destination for enthusiasts of coin-operated amusements, the Aladdin’s Castle arcade in Fort Wayne was a fixture within the Glenbrook Square shopping mall. It was part of a large national chain founded in 1969 to bring the arcade experience into family-friendly mall environments. This location offered a wide array of video games and redemption-style amusements, becoming a memorable social hub for many young people. The broader Aladdin’s Castle franchise was acquired by Namco in 1993 and saw most of its locations close or rebrand over the subsequent decades. This venue is now permanently closed, existing as a nostalgic memory of the classic mall arcade era in the city.
