Located in the Del Amo Fashion Square, Aladdin’s Castle was a popular arcade and a fixture of the mall for many years. Part of a large national chain, this venue became a magnet for young people during the video game boom of the 1980s and early 1990s. The company changed ownership multiple times over its history, eventually being acquired by Namco. The Del Amo location permanently closed by the mid-2000s as the parent company began shutting down its arcades. The original retail space no longer exists, as the area was completely remodeled during a mall expansion in 2006.
