The Machine Shop

The Machine Shop is one of Miami’s earliest dedicated pinball and video arcade parlors. It was also one of the very first locations targeted by government officials to be shut down during the arcade delinquency and crime scare of the early 1980’s. The Machine Shop owners repeatedly refuted claims that their establishment created higher crime. To this date the city of Coral Gables refuses to license any establishment with arcade or pinball within their municipal limits.
