Hooligans Arcade / Hooligans Family Fun

Hooligans Family Fun, now widely known as Hooligans Arcade, commenced operations in Alabaster, Alabama, in the early 2020s. Located at 519 1st St SW, the venue initially offered a hybrid entertainment experience that included both arcade games and an indoor 9-hole black light miniature golf course. Over time, in response to community engagement and to optimize its space, Hooligans transitioned to a dedicated arcade, solidifying its role as a prominent entertainment destination in the region.

Today, Hooligans Arcade stands as one of Alabama’s largest retro-style arcades, featuring a rotating collection of over 100 classic and modern coin-operated video games and a substantial selection of pinball machines. It operates on a free-play model, providing unlimited access to its diverse array of games, which includes titles such as Pac-Man, Galaga, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and rare imports like “Irritating Maze” and Initial D Arcade Stage 8. Beyond gaming, Hooligans fosters a community atmosphere by offering a concessions area and a bar, serving snacks, sodas, beer, and wine, making it a versatile hub for families, friends, and adult patrons seeking recreational activities and social interaction.
