Garibaldi’s Pizza: University location

Garibaldi’s Pizza, located at 3530 Walker Avenue near the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN, has been a locally-owned culinary tradition since its establishment in 1975. Mike Garibaldi founded the original pizzeria to address a need for dining options near the university campus, building the business from a modest initial investment. Over nearly five decades, the restaurant has evolved into a multi-generational family enterprise, now managed by Mike and his son, Michael. The University location remains a significant part of the community, known for its affordable and authentic Italian cuisine served in a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere.

Garibaldi’s Pizza distinguished itself through a commitment to quality and innovation, introducing a heated catering truck in 1980 and later embracing modern technology with a web presence in 2001 and online ordering systems. While it has served as a beloved gathering spot for University of Memphis students and local families, offering a menu of handmade pizzas, fresh salads, and sandwiches, specific records of arcade games or other dedicated entertainment attractions at this location are not readily available in historical accounts. The establishment continues to operate, embodying a sense of community and customer loyalty in Memphis.
