A fixture in many American shopping malls, this Aladdin’s Castle location was a popular destination for arcade gaming within the North East Mall. It provided a family-friendly environment for patrons to experience the video games and amusement devices of the era. As part of a large national chain, the arcade was a social hub for many young people, particularly from the 1970s through the 1990s. Like the vast majority of its sister locations, the North East Mall arcade ceased operations by the early 2000s as the parent company, Namco, closed most of its stores.
