Aladdin’s Castle was an amusement arcade located in Carlsbad, New Mexico, part of a prominent national chain of the same name. The franchise was known for creating arcade spaces in accessible areas like shopping malls, moving away from the less reputable locations of earlier amusement centers. At its peak in the early 1980s, the chain had over 450 locations, but many, including likely the Carlsbad venue, closed in the years following the video game crash of 1983. A movie theater now operates at an adjacent address. The name is currently associated with a childcare center at a different location in the city.
