Aladdin’s Castle was a popular video arcade located inside the Cherryvale Mall. As a key family-friendly entertainment destination within the shopping center, it was part of a large national chain of arcades that peaked in the 1980s. The Rockford location was one of hundreds across the country, many of which were sold by Bally to Namco in the early 1990s. This venue is now permanently closed, with most of the chain’s locations shutting down by the 2010s.
