Located within Greenwood’s Crosscreek Mall, which opened in 1979, the Aladdin’s Castle arcade was a popular entertainment destination throughout the 1980s. As a fixture in the mall, it provided a social gathering place for a generation of players, situated among the shopping center’s other retail tenants. Part of a major national chain, this location was one of hundreds that became staples of American malls. The Greenwood arcade, like the vast majority of the Aladdin’s Castle chain, eventually closed, and no arcade under this name currently operates in the Greenwood Mall.
