Located within the Washington Square Mall which opened in 1974, Aladdin’s Castle was a popular video game arcade on the east side of Indianapolis. As a national chain, it was a familiar destination for entertainment within shopping malls across the country. This venue was part of the mall’s ecosystem that for a time included five department stores and numerous specialty shops. The arcade is now permanently closed, following a period of decline for the mall and the eventual closure of the last remaining Aladdin’s Castle branded location in 2021.
