A popular destination for many, the Aladdin’s Castle arcade was a fixture in Lexington’s malls, including the Fayette Mall and Lexington Mall. This venue was part of a large national chain of mall arcades that provided a family-friendly environment for video games and entertainment. Like most of the chain’s locations, the Lexington arcades eventually closed after years of operation and are now remembered nostalgically by former patrons. The broader Aladdin’s Castle franchise was acquired by Namco in 1993, and the majority of its arcades were closed by the 2010s.
