Located within the Meridian Mall, Aladdin’s Castle was a popular arcade and a frequent destination for local residents. As a franchise owned by Bally Manufacturing and later Namco, this venue was part of a larger, nationwide chain of mall-based arcades that proliferated in the 1970s and 1980s. The Okemos location moved at least once within the mall during its years of operation. The arcade is now permanently closed, following a broader trend that led to the closure of most of the franchise’s locations by the 2010s.
