Located at 1315 First Avenue, the venue originally known as the Amusement Center opened at this address in 1985. Initially established elsewhere in the 1970s, it began by showing 16mm peep show films before introducing live dancers in 1983. The business later became the famous Lusty Lady, known for its witty marquee that often commented on events at the nearby Seattle Art Museum. The establishment was part of the building’s varied history, which also included a hotel and even a shooting range in its lower levels at different times. The venue permanently closed in June of 2010.
