Located in the basement of the Strowd Building, Barrel of Fun was a gameroom that operated in Chapel Hill in the early 1980s. Situated at 161 E. Franklin Street, the venue was established by 1983 in a space that was previously home to Audio Works. As a downtown gameroom, it provided entertainment during the classic era of video arcades. This venue is now permanently closed, having been part of the evolving business landscape of historic Franklin Street.
