Located within Columbia’s Dutch Square Mall, the Barrel of Fun video arcade was a popular destination for gamers during the 1980s. Patrons entered through its distinctive, eye-catching entryway designed to resemble a large, polished wooden barrel. Inside, the arcade housed a multitude of classic games from the golden age of arcades, including Pac-Man, Galaga, and Donkey Kong. The venue declined in the late 1990s and eventually closed in the early 2000s, with its iconic barrel entrance later being preserved and removed in 2026 after being hidden behind a wall for many years.
