Once a vibrant hub for coin-operated entertainment, the Broadway Arcade was a notable fixture in New York City. The Epstein family took ownership in the mid-1960s, and under the management of Steve Epstein starting in 1978, it evolved into a world-renowned destination for pinball and arcade gaming. For decades, it attracted a diverse clientele, from locals to celebrities, creating a unique social space in the city. After being forced to move to a smaller location at 52nd and Broadway in 1985, the arcade ultimately closed permanently on December 31, 1996, due to lease issues and the redevelopment of Times Square.
