District Eat & Play

District Eat & Play, located within the Oviedo Mall in Oviedo, Florida, opened its doors to the public with a grand celebration on August 2, 2018. The venue quickly established itself as a significant entertainment destination in the local community, offering a diverse array of attractions for all ages. It features over 50 arcade games, including classic pinball and video game titles, alongside ten boutique bowling lanes, some offering a unique “small ball bowling” experience. Beyond traditional arcade offerings, District Eat & Play provides immersive escape rooms with themes such as “Shafted” and “The Apothecary,” axe throwing, virtual reality experiences, Gellyball, and private karaoke rooms. A full-service restaurant and bar complement the entertainment options, and the facility frequently hosts live entertainment, trivia nights, and sports viewings, serving as a comprehensive recreational hub for Oviedo families and youth.

Founded by Matt Ilbak, the Oviedo location serves as the flagship for what the company envisions as a nationwide expansion. Its establishment revitalized a quieter section of the Oviedo Mall, drawing new visitors and providing a multi-faceted entertainment option that was previously lacking in the area. The venue also includes a dedicated “District Kids” area with interactive exhibits and a BEAM virtual playground, further cementing its role as a family-friendly attraction. As of the current date, District Eat & Play continues to operate, striving to offer a welcoming atmosphere and memorable experiences for its patrons.
