The Gold Mine was an arcade located within the Enfield Square Mall at 90 Elm Street in Enfield, Connecticut. Part of a national chain known for its distinctive mineshaft theme, this venue offered a vibrant array of video games and attractions. The Gold Mine arcade chain began operations in 1973. The Enfield Square location, like others in the chain, ceased operation when the Gold Mine brand closed in 2009. The Enfield Square Mall itself, which opened in November 1971, is slated for demolition, with its interior mall components closing in Spring 2026.
