The Gold Mine arcade was a notable entertainment fixture within the New Park Mall in Newark, California, during the 1980s. Part of a national chain, this arcade was distinguished by its immersive mineshaft theme, featuring dimly lit interiors, rock facade walls, and decorative lanterns. It served as a popular gathering place for youth before it transitioned to a Tilt arcade in the early 1990s. The Gold Mine chain, operated by Nickels and Dimes Incorporated, eventually ceased operations in 2009.
