Neptune’s Kingdom Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Neptune’s Kingdom is a nautical and pirate-themed family entertainment center situated on California’s historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Housed in a historic facility that originally opened in 1907 as The Plunge—a massive indoor saltwater swimming pool—the building was later converted into a miniature golf course in 1963. Following renovations prompted by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, the location officially opened as Neptune’s Kingdom in May 1991, preserving the pool’s original massive steel ceiling arches. Today, the multi-level facility features the 18-hole Buccaneer Bay Mini Golf, the Captain’s Game Deck, an on-site magic shop, and casual dining at the Boardwalk Grille. Across the gaming floors, visitors can play a broad mix of arcade options, including classic and modern video games, pinball machines upstairs, Skee-Ball, and carnival-style ticket redemption games.
