The Space Station was a prominent arcade located at 2636 Spenard Road in Anchorage, Alaska, known for its vibrant atmosphere and competitive gaming scene. Active throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s, the venue gained national recognition by sending players to television programs like “That’s Incredible” and “Entertainment Tonight” in 1983 and 1985, respectively. It was also one of a select few worldwide locations cited in the 1984 Guinness Book of World Records for generating high scores. The arcade later moved to a different, larger location that included a pool hall. The Space Station is now permanently closed.
