Adventure River was a water park that opened in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1981. The park featured a wave pool, several water slides, and live entertainment, including “dive-in movies” that patrons could watch from the water. In its later years, go-karts were added, and the venue was renamed “Wild Water and Wheels”. The park permanently closed in September 1998 due to declining attendance and rising operational costs. The land formerly occupied by the water park is now the site of an industrial park.
