Al’s Golfhaven was a family entertainment center that opened in 1965 on Raines Road near the I-55 expressway. Owned and operated by Al and Susie Fister, the venue was a larger version of their original Al’s Golfdom location. The popular attraction started with a driving range and two 18-hole miniature golf courses, later expanding to include batting cages, a go-kart track, and a snack bar. A beloved local hangout for many years, Al’s Golfhaven provided family amusement until it permanently closed in 1995, and a school now occupies the former site.
