Aladdin’s Castle: Barton Creek Square Mall

Located within the Barton Creek Square mall, Aladdin’s Castle was a popular arcade that operated for many years. As one of the mall’s original tenants, it opened in August 1981 and became a social hub for young people, who have fond memories of spending time there through the 1980s and 1990s. The national Aladdin’s Castle chain was a quintessential part of the American mall experience during the golden age of arcades. This specific Austin location is now permanently closed.
