Aladdin’s Castle: Northgate Mall

Aladdin’s Castle was an amusement arcade located in the Northgate Mall. Part of a large national chain, this branch was situated on the edge of the mall’s food court. A popular destination for young gamers, the arcade featured dozens of new games, including fighting, driving, and shooting titles, alongside redemption machines and classics like Skee-Ball and air hockey. The Aladdin’s Castle franchise was established to create a more welcoming, family-friendly arcade environment within shopping malls. Like most of the chain’s locations, the San Rafael arcade is now permanently closed, with the last corporate-owned “Aladdin’s Castle” ceasing operation in 2021.
