Joker’s was a classic family entertainment center, with an arcade, play area, rides, food court and at one time laser tag. They originally opened at 512 Warren Ave in 1993, with at least one major expansion adding a second floor area with laser tag. They relocated to 100 Larabee Rd in February of 2015, and closed for good in May of 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time of their closure, the owner claimed that they had hosted over 250,000 birthday parties.

Joker’s was primarily aimed at younger children and families, with a huge swath of redemption games, a large play area with a 27′ slide, and a handful of rides such as a small Ferris wheel. However they did have a handful of games aimed at older kids and adults, alongside laser tag which was aimed at all ages.

  1. Shoot, I made a typo in the description. They moved from Warren Ave to Larabee Rd in 2015, not in 2025.

A fun personal anecdote – Joker’s was where I discovered how much I liked the Virtua On series of games, and really twin stick arcade games in general . They had an early Virtual-On Oratorio Tangram cabinet which I played pretty much every time I went. This was also where I discovered Cyber Sled, which I probably had even more hours into. This was all at the Warren Ave location in the early to mid 90s – I’d drag my parents there whenever I possibly could.

    1. Sorry I missed this, but I just saw your comment and corrected the date to 2015 in the main description!

And wow – your CyberSled mention brings back a flood of memories! I haven’t seen a cabinet – or even thought about it – for years now, but I was working for NAMCO when that game was first released and LOVED it, spending WAY too many hours on it with friends!
